With a team of many Californians living the daily reality of air clogged with wildfire smoke and the loss of lives and property, this climate solution hit particularly close to home.
What intrigued us about Perimeter Solutions was their suite of fire prevention products, aiming to get ahead of the issue. Combatting wildfires is becoming more challenging each year due to climate change. In 2020, the US experienced 58,950 wildfires, burning over 10.1 million acres and causing $19.8 billion in damages. This presents a danger to natural ecosystems and human health, causing air/water pollution from the incinerated particulates.
But Perimeter’s ambition is undeterred, continuing to develop “Solutions that Save”. They are the global leader in the development and manufacturing of fire retardants that slow, stop and prevent the start of wildfires, as well as firefighting foam. It’s a climate solution that will become incredibly personal to a growing population as wildfires increase across the world.
