EVs and wind turbines require critical minerals that are often extracted from the earth at a great environmental cost. And as electrification of vehicles takes off, the demand for critical minerals is skyrocketing.
Megan O'Connor, Founder and CEO of Nth Cycle, had built a solution that cleans up the extraction process. Described as an “electrified Brita filter”, the technology combines water filtration with electricity, selectively removing materials like cobalt or nickel from different waste streams or ore bodies.
The price of these minerals has skyrocketed in the last year, driven partly by the increasing demand for EVs as well as the limited supply of these minerals. Nth Cycle is a cleaner way to accelerate our clean energy future.
